 Non-emergency medical transportation, or NEMT, is transportation for people who need assistance getting to and from medical appointments, treatments, hospital discharges, rehabilitation visits, and other essential trips, but do not require emergency ambulance service. 

SafeLink Transit provides ambulatory transportation, wheelchair transportation, tilt-in-space transportation using Broda wheelchairs, and stretcher transportation coming soon. 

We provide medical transportation services throughout the greater metropolitan area, including all major hospitals, clinics, and medical facilities.

 Yes. SafeLink Transit provides wheelchair transportation in Spokane and surrounding areas for medical appointments, dialysis, hospital discharges, treatments, and other essential trips. 

 Yes. We provide ambulatory transportation for riders who can walk on their own or with limited assistance, but still need safe, reliable transportation for medical or essential trips. 

 Tilt-in-space transportation is a comfort-focused option for passengers who cannot tolerate sitting upright for extended periods. SafeLink Transit uses Broda wheelchairs to better support riders who need improved positioning, stability, and comfort during transport. 

 Stretcher transportation will be available soon. Until then, SafeLink Transit offers a comfortable, supportive, and cost-effective alternative for many riders through our tilt-in-space service using a Broda positioning transport chair. For passengers who do not require full stretcher transport but cannot tolerate a standard seated ride, this can be an excellent option. 

We take safety very seriously and have strict protocols in place to ensure the safety and comfort of our passengers. These include regular vehicle maintenance, driver training, and adherence to all applicable safety regulations.

 Yes. SafeLink Transit provides hospital discharge transportation in Spokane for patients who need a safe, dependable ride home or to another care setting after discharge. 

 We commonly help with medical appointments, dialysis transportation, hospital discharges, rehabilitation visits, recurring scheduled trips, and facility-to-home or home-to-facility transportation. 

 Yes. SafeLink Transit currently operates as a private-pay non-emergency medical transportation service. For clients who may be eligible for reimbursement through another program or benefit, we can provide a receipt upon request. 

 Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Transportation services are available 7 days a week based on scheduling and availability. 

 Yes. SafeLink Transit works with individuals, families, senior living communities, care facilities, and other organizations looking for reliable non-emergency transportation.

 Yes. SafeLink Transit can assist with recurring transportation needs such as dialysis, rehabilitation visits, and other ongoing appointments, depending on scheduling and availability. 

 Yes. In addition to transporting clients, we can assist facilities with local delivery of sealed documents, discharge packets, care packets, and other non-regulated facility items.
